Luckily, four years ago five people with common love and devotion to “rebetiko” music met together and the result was “Tzivaeri”. “Tzivaeri” which means “treasure”, consists of these excellent musicians: Eleni Lazarou, Dimitris Kranidas, Gerasimos Stamoulis, Vasilis Skoutas and Dimitris Mitarakis. This album contains 18 of the most beautiful and famous “rebetiko” songs, real “diamonds” of this musical genre, interpreted by “Tzivaeri” in a unique and special way. The listener will also find in this compilation two rare songs of Manolis Hiotis (“Mazi sou xemialistika” and Giorgos Mitsakis (“Mia Gineka katarieme”) that are recorded for the first time in CD.
